The Wolf Creek resort, which was built on the ski trails of Wolf Creek National Park, will undergo a $500 million upgrade and be upgraded to an indoor ski area next year, according to a press release from the resort.
The upgrade will bring the resort’s footprint to more than 1,200 acres, including more than 300 acres of parkland and a total of 8,600 parking spaces.
Wolf Creek is one of the most popular and scenic ski resorts in the area.
The resort, located about 50 miles north of Anchorage, will be closed to the public during the upgrade, according the release.
The resort will also be closed during the renovation, which will include a new roof and exterior paint, interior landscaping, and new bathrooms.
The $500m upgrade includes the addition of a new restaurant, a new retail store and a new outdoor cafe.
The new outdoor restaurant will feature a bar, full bar, two outdoor tables, a seating area and a bar.
